Since 2014, Stephen Reeder has served as chief executive officer of the UCR Group, a firm whose commercial real estate projects include a 340-unit luxury apartment building in Redlands, California. In addition to his successful real estate career, Stephen Reeder is a noted philanthropist who has provided significant financial support to more than 20 charitable organizations, among them the Ronald McDonald House Foundation.
Since 1974, the Ronald McDonald House Foundation (RMHF) has supported the families of children who are dealing with health challenges by providing housing and assistance during hospital stays. Additionally, the foundation operates the Mobile Care Program, which provides healthcare access worldwide through special mobile vehicles.
Each mobile vehicle costs around $500,000 and offers preventive care such as well-child visits, immunizations, and health screenings, as well as pediatric care ranging from oncology and blood collection to prenatal care for those who are pregnant. Depending on community need, the mobile vehicle might also provide mental health assessments and referrals for children with special needs. The state of the art vehicles are outfitted with exam rooms and a lab and are staffed by healthcare professionals such as pediatricians, pediatric nurses, social workers, and a range of volunteers.
