The City of Hope is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals living with cancer, diabetes, and other serious conditions. The community that brings together scientists, research associates, nurses, doctors, funding specialists, and other professionals seeks to shape the future of the health care industry. Healthy Living Grant (HLG) Program is a community-led initiative that aims to boost health equity and living healthy. The program distributes $5,000 in grants to various organizations and groups that can demonstrate their ability to encourage healthy living to help deal with the causes of disease and illness.

Grant applicants should offer their services to vulnerable populations domiciled in Greater Los Angeles or Orange County. Proposals should cover at least one area from Access to Care, Food and Housing Insecurity, and Cancer Prevention to Mental Health and Healthy Living. Through funding, recipients of the Hope Healthy Living Grant (HLG) have helped bridge the gap to achieving healthy living. Annual HLG submissions are reviewed by the City of Hope Community Benefit Advisory Council, which recommends awardees.
